Lucerne

Lucerne is a city in north-central Switzerland, in the German-speaking portion of that country. Lucerne is the capital of the Canton of Lucerne and the capital of the district of the same name.

 Kellerstr. 6, Lucerne Show map
CHF 106 S$ 150/per day

Lion_Monument, The Lion Monument (German: Löwendenkmal), or the Lion of Lucerne, is a sculpture in Lucerne, Switzerland, designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and hewn in 1820–21 by Lukas Ahorn. It commemorates the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution, when revolutionaries stormed the Tuileries Palace in Paris, France. Mark Twain praised the sculpture of a mortally-wounded lion as “the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world.”_from wiki,

Type: Geologic Formations, History Museums Description: Built around a glacial pothole that has survived since the Ice Age, this museum also displays artifacts from throughout the town’s history.
